Welcome to the Junior section of Stony Stratford CC

The club is dedicated to the development of our young players and we believe that youth cricket plays an integral part in ensuring the clubs future.  There are now over 200 young cricketers who regularly receive quality training from ECB qualified coaches within the club and we currently field teams from Under 9s through to Under 19s.  This is in addition to several softball groups catering for younger players aged from 5 upwards.

The junior section has expanded significantly in recent years and has enjoyed great success in local competitions of late. Over the last few seasons the under 12s, 13s and 15s all won their respective Bucks County competitions with all other sides finishing near the top of their respective divisions.

The last few years has seen the introduction and expansion of our dedicated girls training sessions, evolving to now include both softball and three age group hardball squads.  The hardball squads will this season compete in the Bucks league with girls encouraged to transition to our women’s team when they are ready.

Cricket at Stony Stratford CC

Stony Stratford Cricket Club has gained accreditation known as "Clubmark". This is a Sports England national charter standard for all sporting clubs to illustrate that they are an effective, well managed and child friendly club. Examples of information that Stony Stratford Cricket Club needed to submit to the ECB as part of this are: Child Protection Policies, Development Plans, Criminal Record Bureau checks (Police Checks) for coaches and staff working with children, accident and injury procedures and risk assessments. We have Child Protection and Welfare Officers in place for the well-being of our youth members.

If your son or daughter wishes to join the club as a junior please contact the club's head junior coach and include your child's name, date of birth (school year) and a brief summary of their current cricket experience (if any). Due to demand,
we operate a waiting list for all age groups and allocate spaces accordingly.

If you have any concerns regarding a safeguarding/child protection issue, bullying or poor practice in relation to Stony Stratford Cricket Club, please contact the Club Welfare Officer, Sam Mallabar.

Remember the Junior Weather Mobile 07849 727915 - if you hear just the standard message then assume the training or match is still on.
